On motion of Supervisor Brown, and by vote of the Board, approved Letter to Governor Newsom requesting Lake County be allowed to accelerate fully into Stage 3 of Reopening from the COVID-19 Pandemic, shifting oversight reopening to local authorities with amendments suggested by the Board. The motion carried by the following vote:
Ayes- Supervisors: 3 - Sabatier, Brown, and Scott
Noes- Supervisors: 2 - Crandell and Simon
Clerk’s notes: Chair Simon introduced the item to the Board. Public Health Officer Dr. Pace, County Administrative Officer Carol Huchingson, and County Counsel Anita Grant spoke.
Chair Simon asked if anyone wished to speak and the following people spoke via Zoom: Sally Peterson, Melissa Fulton, Denise, Kyle Bill, Martha Mincer, Gillian Parillo, Terre Logsdon, and Brian Dobrowski. No one else wished to speak and the public input portion of this item was closed.
