CANNABIS WORKSHOP - (a) Report from Board Chair’s Subcommittee tasked with follow up on Type 7 Manufacturing (volatiles); (b) Review of possible taxing mechanisms for commercial cannabis businesses in the unincorporated areas of the County; and (c) Discussion of possible fines and penalties for violation of permitting requirements constituting a public nuisance

Clerk’s notes: (a) Subcommittee Members, Supervisor Simon and Brown, reported on Manufacturing/Volatile information. Community Development Interim Director Michalyn DelValle gave a PowerPoint presentation. Chief Willie Sepata, Lake County Fire District reported on volatiles in the community. Chief Building Official Mary Jane Montana was present and spoke.
Chair Steele asked if anyone present wished to speak and the following people spoke: Michael Green, Del Potter, Jack Biojian/Adobe Packing and Kevin Roach.
(b) County Counsel Anita Grant and CAO Carol Huchingson gave a PowerPoint presentation on the cannabis tax ordinance; components and tax rates. CDD Michalyn DelValle spoke.
