On motion of Vice Chair Steele the Action Item was Adopted. The motion carried by the following vote:
Clerk’s notes: Sheriff Brian Martin presented the item to the Board. Chair Smith has lost his home. Fire started October 9th 12:55 a.m. Sulphur Fire. Quickly grew, 50 mph winds. Limited resources due to the other fires throughout the state. 18 fires within Incident Management team #4, based out of Ukiah Fairgrounds. Evacuations started immediately after notification. Twin Pines casino was set up as the Grace Church in Kelseyville. American Red Cross providing services at shelters. Salvation Army also assisting. Getting a handle on the fire. Safety first, hazardous materials, downed power lines. Power restored to some of the areas. Governor declared a statewide emergency. Declaration declared by Lake County and has been added to the Governors'' list. Estimate approx 150 residences are destroyed. CDD - Damage assessment teams geared up and ready to go by later today or tomorrow. CAO Carol Huchingson also spoke. Briefing for evacuees at the Twin Pine Shelter last night. County will have a 2nd briefing tonight at twin pine including Local responders and service providers. AC welfare checks on animals, set up at Social Services in Lower Lake. Christopher Veach reported that Redbud Library closed today due to the fire, other libraries will be open. Todd reported Behavioral Health supporting Social Services. Two crisis staff to work in each of the shelters. Fire has burned into the City jurisdiction but the majority of the fire is in the unincorporated area. Will coordinate efforts with the City's EOC and staff. Chair Smith asked if anyone present wished to speak. No one wished to speak and the public input portion of this item was closed.
